Computer Lab / IT Infrastructure
Information technology infrastructure is defined broadly as a set of information technology (IT) components that are the foundation of an IT service; typically physical components (computer and networking hardware and facilities), but also various software and network components.
According to the ITIL Foundation Course Glossary, IT Infrastructure can also be termed as “All of the hardware, software, networks, facilities, etc., that are required to develop, test, deliver, monitor, control or support IT services. The term IT infrastructure includes all of the Information Technology but not the associated People, Processes and documentation.
- A computer centre has been established having 40 computers with internet connection, printer, scanner and photocopier. Students are utilizing this facility.
- Language lab has been set up in the college for the benefit of students.
- Eight smart classrooms have been established which provide access to ICT enabled classrooms to students.
- Online journals through JSTOR is provided to the students.
- The college has applied for membership of UGC NLIST programme through which students will get access free to e-books and online journals.
- Central computer centre with internet facilities, online journals through JSTOR subscription and free e-books and online journals through UGC NLIST programme (in the process) and other examples of extensive use of ICT resources by staff & students.
